In, 2009, Judith Enck was appointed Regional Administrator of Region 2 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by President Barack Obama.. She was the longest serving EPA Region 2 Regional Administrator.

Ms. Enck is a Faculty member at Bennington College, where she teaches classes on plastic pollution. She is founder of Beyond Plastics (link). an initiative that works on plastic pollution .
